Tyler Smith
Managing Partner
A Middle Tennessee native with more than 20 years in roofing and construction, Tyler started CountryLand in 2016 to help families protect what matters most. Away from work you’ll find him with Courtney and their two boys, hunting, at church, or at a Living Years board meeting.
Harrison Yonts
Managing Partner
Harrison ran his own cabinet and furniture shop in Kentucky before moving to Tennessee. Today he double-checks every material order and makes sure the framing is right when the old decking comes off.
Our story
Ten years in. Not going anywhere.
We started CountryLand in February 2016. In the early days we took whatever work kept the lights on, but we always knew roofing would be our bread and butter. Within a couple of years it was nearly all we did: roofs, siding and gutters across Dickson, Humphreys and the counties around them.
When hail hit Charlotte in 2020, we were on our neighbors’ roofs the next morning, a full week before the out-of-town trucks showed up.
Ten years later, most of our work still comes the way it always has: one neighbor telling another.

We’re not a phone number and a P.O. box. Stop by the office, meet the team, and plan out your roof in person. We’ll put real shingle and metal samples in your hands, walk you through colors and options, and answer every question before anything gets signed.

At the ballfield
Our logo is painted at the Charlotte ballfield, and we sponsor little league and high school teams around Dickson and Humphreys counties, including McEwen Dixie League.
The annual wing-off
Every fall we throw a wing-off with cornhole, bounce houses and more hot sauce than anyone needs. 2026 is year four.
Local students
We host students from Creek Wood High School through its work-based learning program, so they get real office experience before graduation.
Living Years
Tyler serves on the board of Living Years, a Tennessee nonprofit building apartment communities where adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities can live independently. Learn more →
In the news
A new roof for American Legion Post #34
In 2024 we re-roofed the American Legion Post #34 headquarters, a $28,000 project funded with help from Chemours and TVA. Tyler upgraded the roof from shingles to metal as a donation, added ten years to the 30-year warranty, and added a five-year warranty on the installation.
